Well, I did get “Murder my Meta” out on Monday finally, but got caught this week in the vortex of playing post-MbM catchup. Which means I need a few more hours to finish #321, which will be published at 4 PM ET today.
To atone for the four-hour delay I’ll award two book prizes this week and 12 monthly prizes for July instead of 10.
I’m now writing a bi-weekly metapuzzle for New York magazine called the Vulture Crossword Contest. These are roughly a Tuesday New York Times level of difficult and themes are popular culture-focused.
On New Year’s Eve, at the biggest puzzle tournament of the year, star crossword constructor Daphne Pratt has been poisoned. The poor lady!
